BFYC News and Tuesday 18th Sept Bistro

Hi all,
This weekend hosts the club's second open day of the year and following on from the success of the sailing "Taster" day on Sunday the 19th and the write up in the Gazette published on Thursday 23rd we are expecting a BUSY day.The event starts at 1030 and will run till 1330 with hightide being at approximately 1200.
Any volunteers who wish to come down and help with either the administration of the day or to take people out on the water would be gratefully received! At the previous events the club has been busy with members passing on words of encouragement and helpful advice on boat purchasing and sailing in general which allows people to experience what a friendly bunch we are, so even if you can't spare the time to help out, come and have a beer, some food and chat to perspective new members, it all helps.

The last weekend in September is our Annual Lifeboat Regatta. There is sailing planned for both days for the offshore and 3 races on the Sunday for the dinghies. As usual there will be a fund raising event on the Saturday night, the details of which are yet to be decided.

The next Tuesday Bistro night will be on the 18th of September but this will be the last one :-( Due to the popularity of Tuesday night drinking and the Bistro I'm having to split them up! So the Tuesday Bistro will become Friday Bistro :-)!! The forthcoming dates for these will be: Friday 26th October, 23rd November, 25th January 2013. This also means the bar will be open on these nights for drinkers too.
